Revelation 20:13-1413The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. 14Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. (NIV)

Freeza in Hell, Dragon Ball Super

Who’s your favorite Dragon Ball villain? I haven’t watched much of Dragon Ball Super but from Dragon Ball to Dragon Ball GT I would have to admit my favorite Dragon Ball villain would be Freeza. His reckless disregard for life helped bring our favorite Saiyan warrior Goku to the level of Super Saiyan for the first time ever. We even got to see the fantastic swordsman ship of Future Trunks as he defeated Freeza and sent him to… Well where did he go?

HFIL[1].v4
Demon from HFIL, because you couldn’t say HELL on children’s television

Well you might think he went to the Home for Infinite Losers, HFIL for short. You would think right. Bad people went to the Home for Infinite Losers. It’s Over 9000 – 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 – 24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. (NKJV)

Reading this scripture reminded me of a few cartoons, animes, TV shows, and video games. The first thing that came to my mind was the video¬†above. That infamous clip and that infamous quote came from the addictive anime Dragonball Z. Although now we know that the actual quote was “It’s over 8000!” it’s still fun to say the former. To break down what happened before that it all started at the beginning of the Z series. Goku’s, the hero of the story, son was kidnapped by his brother Radditz. However he was not strong enough to defeat him. With the help of his nemesis Piccolo he was able to defeat Radditz by Goku sacrificing himself. However, Goku found out that he must train because the Saiyans were coming who were very powerful. Goku trained in the after life with King Kai waiting for the time where he can be revived and join the battle. His friends trained as well but Goku’s power was noteworthy because he shown that he could be an actual threat to the Saiyans, Vegeta and Napa. I skipped a lot of the story but I know you can see where I am going with the scripture above. Continue reading “It’s Over 9000 – 1 Corinthians 9:24-27”
