Attacking Titans – “Eren Yeager” – Mark 11:22-24

Mark 11:22-24 – 22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (NIV)

This is part one of the Attacking Titans series. The anime/manga series I am loosely referring to is Attack on Titans or Shingeki no Kyojin by Hajime Isayama. This series revolves around people who are stuck in a battle for life. The world as they know it have been taken over by gigantic aggressive being known as “titans”. We specifically follow the leading character Eren Yeager. He lost everything with the attack of his home town Shiganshina District except for his two best childhood friends Armin Arlert and Mikasa Ackerman. I watched the show and I believed by watching these characters they have showed all of us the key in fighting the titans in our lives. Titans that cause devastation in our lives. Titans that cause us to lose hope. Titans doesn’t have to be a gigantic man eating giant. A titan in our lives could be the lost of your home or job or the loss of a friend. It’s menacing but in the following entries I hope that you learn from the following characters how to attack the titans in your life. Sephiroth Kills Aeris

He is the character that so many characters would be based off of at some point. However, there was someone more important than Cloud in this game and this character was Aerith or Aeris Gainsborough. She was best known for being the playable character that actually died. No phoenix down could save her as she was killed by Sephiroth while praying to summon the power of Holy from the White Materia. Why was she summoning Holy you may ask? Because Sephiroth used the Black Materia to cast the most destructive spell Meteor. A spell that destroys planets and Holy was the only power that could stop it. Continue reading “White Materia – Mark 9:29”
